Cameron Blackwood (pictured) is joining Corrs, bringing his “extensive” transactional tax expertise, with nearly two decades of experience working as a trusted adviser for a number of leading ASX-listed and international corporates.

He specialises, the firm said in a statement, in advising clients on the tax complexities related to mergers, acquisitions and restructures, debt and equity capital management, cross-border issues, and all aspects of employee share schemes for both public and private groups.

Prior to joining Corrs, Mr Blackwood was a partner at PwC for over a year and, before that, was a partner at Greenwoods & Herbert Smith Freehills for seven years.

The news follows the firm’s promotion of three lawyers to partner in late May.

Speaking about the firm’s newest partner, Corrs chief executive Gavin MacLaren said: “Cameron is highly regarded in the market for his analytical, methodical and commercial approach.

“He will be a strong addition to our transactional teams and will add further depth to our tax offering.

“We are delighted that he will be joining the Corrs partnership.”
